In fact, cats only eat good things, not just one lamp. The cat just wanted to cleverly tell the Jade Emperor that he would be self-reliant and catch mice to eat, so his contribution would be greater than that of the dog.

As soon as the dog heard it, he was very angry, and felt that the cat had defeated him with a dishonorable lie, so he cursed and bit the cat at the same time. The cat knew it was wrong, so he ran all the way, didn't dare to show up when he got home, hid in Tibet, and didn't dare to come out.
