Xuankong Nine Stars Flying Mooring is based on the sequence of the Nine Palaces in Luoshu, with residences sitting on the mountains as the mainstay, and using the Houtian Eight Diagrams position to distribute the nine stars.

This method is also called "Purple and White Flying Stars". It governs the three mountains with one hexagram. It places the stars of this mountain into the upper left corner of the central palace, and Xiang Xingan enters the upper right corner of the central palace. The five elements and the five elements of the other Bagong hexagrams act together to judge good or bad.

Jiuxing Feibo operates according to the "Nine Palace Feibutu". It evolved according to the sequence of Luoshu, starting from the middle palace and moving forward in numerical order. The sequence is: Zhonggong→Gan→Dui→Gen→Li→Kun→Kun→Zhen→Sunda→Zhonggong.
