What is Shishishiya?

The stem, kan, gen, quake, sunda, li, kun, and dui of the Eight Diagrams each have their own five element attributes. Gan and dui belong to gold, quake and xun are wood, kun and gen are soil, ridge is water, and li is fire. According to the principle of the five elements, two groups of mutual growth systems are naturally formed between them.

The first group consists of aquatic woods and woods for fire, which are "hurdles, earthquakes, sunda, and li". Among them, Zhenxun lives in the east, so it is called "East Four Houses".

The second group is native gold, which is "Gan, Dui, Kun, Gen". The three trigrams of Qian, Dui, and Kun are all located in the West, so they are called "Xi Si Zhai".
